I'm kind of weird.

No, this isn't a compliment. Or an insult. It just... is. Like the sky being blue. It depends on how you look at it, though. How do butterflies see the sky, seeing in ultraviolet? Or perhaps dogs, seeing in black and white?

Then again, everyone's weird. If you look at it differently. I'm never certain about anything, even the sky being blue, because there are so many different ways to look at something. This is why when someone asks my opinion on something, 99% of the time I respond with variations of "It depends on you. I don't love it or hate it." Except for Twilight. There are like a few positives, but I mostly hate it. I think it's being loved in the wrong way - in the area of love fantasies that people want to read (not actual romance/action) I think Twilight succeeds. And wow can Meyers write a lot.

Does "weird" mean "not normal?" What is "normal"? My peers and family have a general idea of what normal is, and I don't seem to fit their criteria, therefore I'm weird to them. Heck, to you I might seem like the most normal person ever.

To quote Britney Spears (God I've always wanted to say that) love me, hate me, say what you want about me. Because I can understand if you don't like me, and understand if you do. Don't expect my self esteem to shrivel up or win an argument by calling me weird. You're telling me that I'm different to you. And I feel like I taught you something, somehow.

If you think a lot like my friends and family, then I probably look weird. I named my family's new computer Ace. I listen to old songs and new songs, but mostly Avril Lavigne. Whenever I put a book down and pick it up without looking at it, it's always upside down. I listen to songs that are a lot like the songs I dislike ironically because I secretly like them. I don't swear or eat meat (as best as I can.) I'm really shy but if I didn't try to be social, I can carry a witty conversation and even flirt with the opposite gender. I still don't know how to swim, and it's one of the biggest things I hate about myself. I make obscure pop culture references, and not even my brother gets them. I look up simple words because I think it's harder to simplify the complicated than the other way around. I listen to All Time Low's version of Umbrella, not Rhianna's.

These are the things I think that my peers think are weird, but you might relate to them. It's okay - these aren't weird. They're what I do.

Random tidbits

• I like cheese. A lot.
• I literally cried when Edward left Bella in New Moon. Not because I thought Edward didn't love Bella anymore. I cried because all I'll ever read about it is Bella, since Edward's gone and she won't bother to include other people more often. And Bella's an idiot.
• I never use actual store-bought bookmarks. My friend got me a store-bought bookmark for my birthday!
• My conscience is Ms. Samuels from Cory in the House.
• I can convince myself many things pretty easily, no matter how impossible it is.
• One time I convinced myself that Pokémon were real.
• I literally laughed when I figured out Papercut by Linkin Park was on the playlist for New Moon.
• I didn't find anything wrong with Jacob kissing Bella in Eclipse.
• Which means I'm a bad person.
• 1 + 3 + 3 = 7!
